UKCAT results for 2017 have now been released. The mean average total score this year is 2540, which is in line with mean scores for previous years. SJT results are also similar to previous years, with 28% of candidates achieving a Band 1 this year.
Over the summer a total of 24,844 candidates sat the test, an increase of 6% from 2016.
The 2017 test included the new Decision Making subtest. This section replaced Decision Analysis and was piloted in 2016. Decision Making is now a fully validated part of the UKCAT and for the first time contributed towards candidates total scores.
Final results will now be data matched with UCAS following the 15th October application deadline and results will be sent to our Consortium Universities on Thursday 2nd November.
We wish all our 2017 candidates the best of luck with their applications to medical and dental school.
