After a successful pilot in 2016, Decision Making will be introduced as a scored subtest in the 2017 UKCAT. This part of the UKCAT focuses on the problem solving, dealing with uncertainty and managing risks. It explores these through the test constructs of deductive reasoning, evaluating arguments and statistical & figural reasoning.
In 2017 candidates will receive a scale score from 300 to 900 for this subtest. This means that overall scores in 2017 will range from 1200 to 3600. This is in addition to a separate banding for the Situational Judgement Test.
