This update is for candidates sitting the UCAT Online during the last week of testing.
Some candidates are having issues testing at home. The volume of online tests in this last week may result in more candidates encountering delays in testing and / or IT issues.
What do I do if my exam does not start properly or an IT issue prevents me from completing my test?
Please be assured that we will help you rearrange your test at no additional cost. We have lots of test centre capacity including some contingency slots after the 1st October. To reschedule your test, you will need to phone Pearson VUE Customer Services +44 (0)161 855 7409. You may need to wait 24 hours before they will be able to re-book your test.
Please note that Customer Services is open Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 UK time. If you have a problem outside these times you will need to wait and ring the next working day.
Can I move my test to a test centre?
It is not too late to move your test to a test centre – we have lots of test centre availability throughout the UK. If you want to move your test, please phone Pearson VUE Customer Services +44 (0)161 855 7409.
If taking the UCAT Online please note:
-
Your test may be delayed as you wait to be assigned to a proctor. If you have been waiting for over 30 minutes, please abandon your test and phone Pearson VUE Customer Services +44 (0)161 855 7409 (within their opening hours).
-
If you are a Mac user, shortcut key combinations in the live test may differ. You may need to press additional keys together with the letter to make the shortcut work (e.g. control + option + N = Next). Please check these in the short sample exam within the System Test. Some Mac users may need to use the trackpad or mouse to navigate through their test.
-
Minor internet connectivity issues may result in small delays (less than second) in questions loading – please be assured that time in each subtest is adjusted to take account of this.
-
If you encounter issues during testing which have affected your performance, please contact the proctor using the chat function. If your issue is not resolved, please phone Pearson VUE Customer Services +44 (0)161 855 7409 immediately following your test (within their opening hours).
