SJTace Registration & Booking
SJTace testing takes place between 1 July and 2 October 2019. You must complete a two-step process using the Pearson VUE online registration system to register and then book a test.
You are strongly recommended to register and sit your test at your earliest convenience to ensure places are available at a local centre. Each year there are candidates who book a late test and encounter problems when they fall ill or experience other issues preventing them from taking that testing slot. This can be avoided by booking to take the test early. We advise that candidates read the section on Mitigating Circumstances carefully.
Step 1: Online Account Registration
Registration opens: 1 May at 9am
Registration closes: 18 September at 5pm
You must create an online account with Pearson VUE before you can book your test. You need to register for your test personally – this cannot be done by a school/college. You should only create one account as multiple accounts are not permitted.
You must register with your legal name exactly as it appears on the photo identification you will present at the test centre. If there is not an exact match, you will not be able to take your test and you will not be reimbursed for any fees paid. You should ensure you register with the same name on your UCAS account so your results can be matched to your application.
When you create an account you will need to provide the information requested in this questionnaire which also explains why the data is collected. You may need to ask your parent(s)/carer(s) for assistance in answering the questions.
Step 2: Booking a Test
Booking opens: 1 May at 9am
Online booking closes: 18 September at 5pm
Final booking deadline: 1 October 2019 at midday
When the registration process is complete you will be sent an email containing a password which will allow you to log-in to your Pearson VUE account to book your test. The test fee is payable at the time of booking by major credit card (Visa, Mastercard or UK Visa debit card) or UCAT bursary voucher. You can make an online booking until 5pm on Wednesday 18 September 2019. We would expect all candidates to have booked their test by this date.
You should book a standard test unless you are eligible for extra time in public exams. Please see the section on Access Arrangements for more information. It is your responsibility to book the correct test.
After online booking closes you must phone Pearson VUE Customer Services (+44 (0) 161 855 7409) to book a test. Although you can do this up to midday on Tuesday 1 October, the availability of test slots will be extremely limited in these last two weeks of testing. Customer Services may not be able to find you a convenient appointment and you may have to travel some distance to an available test centre. We therefore do not advise that you wait until this time to book a test. You cannot book a test by email.
If you need to change your appointment please see our information on rescheduling and cancelling.
