Rescheduling and Cancelling

Rescheduling a Test

If you are not fit to take your test due to illness or other personal circumstances you must reschedule your test to a later date, even if this means losing the test fee.  If you choose to take the test, such issues will not be accepted as Mitigating Circumstances.  You cannot reschedule a test by email.

Rescheduling before the Booking Deadline (midday, 30 April 2020)
You may reschedule your test through your Pearson VUE account.  If you are struggling to find an alternative appointment you should contact Pearson VUE Customer Services (+44 (0) 161 855 7409).

Rescheduling after the Booking Deadline (midday, 30 April 2020)
After this deadline you need to phone Pearson VUE Customer Services (+44 (0) 161 855 7409) to reschedule your test.  You may reschedule your test up to 24 hours before your appointment time.  If you leave it later than this you will have to pay a further test fee. The availability of convenient dates and times will be extremely limited in the last two weeks of testing.  

You still need to give the appropriate amount of notice even though the helpline is only available Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 (UK time).  For example, if your appointment is on a Monday, in order to reschedule (without losing your fee), you need to contact Pearson VUE Customer Services before 5pm (UK time) on the preceding Friday.

Cancelling a Test

You cannot cancel a test by email.

Cancelling before the Booking Deadline (midday, 30 April 2020)
Up to this deadline you can cancel your test through your Pearson VUE account and your test fee will be refunded

Cancelling after the Booking Deadline (midday, 30 April 2020)
After this deadline you need to phone Pearson VUE Customer Services (+44 (0) 161 855 7409) to cancel your test.  In order to receive a refund, you need to cancel your test up to 24 hours before your appointment time.

Missed Tests (No-shows)

If you miss your test for any reason, the appointment will count as a 'no-show' and you will not be eligible for a refund or a free reschedule. This applies in cases of illness, family emergency, accident, arrest, transport problems and security alert as well as forgetfulness and lateness. It also applies to those who arrive at the test centre with inadequate or invalid identification.
