MITIGATING CIRCUMSTANCES
The UKCAT Consortium and our partner Pearson VUE aim to provide you with a straightforward and convenient way of sitting your test in a businesslike environment. However, occasionally things may go wrong and we have put systems in place to deal with such circumstances.
Before the Test
In presenting yourself for your test, you are declaring yourself fit to take the test. If you are not fit to take the test, due to illness or other personal circumstances, then you must reschedule your test to a later date even if this means losing the test fee.
If you have planned to take the test in the final weeks of testing and encounter such issues, this can be a real problem, since you may not be able to reschedule within the test window. This is why we recommend you take the test early in the cycle. It is probable that Universities will not consider such issues as mitigating circumstances.
