Rescheduling and Cancelling
Refer to the relevant section below if you want to cancel or reschedule your test, or you have missed your test.
Cancellation Policy
You must give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel your test, or your test fee will not be refunded (see Missed Test Policy).
You can cancel online through your UCAT Account.
You cannot cancel a test by submitting a help request or email.
Tests with accommodations
If your appointment includes an arranged accommodation (e.g. testing in a separate room) you cannot cancel online and must call Pearson Customer Services. Refer to the FAQ section below for further details.
Cancellations after the booking deadline
After booking closes you need to call Pearson Customer Services to cancel your test.
You still need to give the appropriate amount of notice, taking into account the helpline opening hours (Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 UK time).
- For example, if your test centre appointment is on a Monday at 10:00, in order to cancel (without losing your fee), you need to contact Pearson Customer Services before 17:00 (UK time) on the preceding Friday.
Refunds
Refunds are normally completed within 10 working days but this is dependent on your card issuer.
Tests paid for by a bursary
If you successfully cancel a test paid for by a bursary, your bursary will be automatically reapplied if you choose to rebook in the same test year.
Reschedule Policy
You must give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule your test, or you will have to pay again (see Missed Test Policy).
You can reschedule online through your UCAT Account.
You cannot reschedule an appointment by submitting a help request or email.
IMPORTANT! Once you have selected a new appointment there are several more steps of the process to complete before the reschedule is confirmed. If you do not receive an email confirming your rescheduled test date, you have not completed all the necessary steps.
If a bursary was applied to your original booking this will automatically be applied to your rescheduled test.
Rescheduling is subject to the availability of appointments. In some circumstances you may need to travel to another location if there are no available appointments at your preferred test location.
If you choose to book a late test date and then encounter issues which prevent you from attending your test appointment, you may not be able to rebook within the testing window.

Rescheduling and Cancelling FAQs
How do I cancel or reschedule a test that includes an arranged accommodation?
If your test appointment includes an arranged accommodation (e.g. testing in a separate room or permission to take items into the test room), you cannot reschedule or cancel through your UCAT account.
You will need to call Pearson Customer Services to cancel or reschedule your test (and rearrange any accommodations).
You still need to give the appropriate amount of notice, taking into account the helpline opening hours (Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 UK time).
For example, if your test centre appointment is on a Monday at 10:00, in order to reschedule or cancel (without losing your fee), you need to contact Pearson Customer Services before 17:00 (UK time) on the preceding Friday.
You cannot cancel or reschedule an appointment by submitting a help request or email.
How do I amend a booking to add access arrangements?
It is not possible to add access arrangements to an existing booking.
Any existing booking must be cancelled before you can book a test with your approved access arrangements. The usual cancellation policy applies.
For instance, if you book a standard test and then have an access arrangements application approved to sit the UCAT with 25% extra time, you must first cancel your existing appointment before you can book a test with 25% extra time.
The date, time and location of your new appointment will depend on availability.
If you successfully cancel a test paid for by a bursary, your bursary will be automatically reapplied if you choose to rebook in the same test year.
