Rescheduling and Cancelling
Refer to the relevant section below if you want to cancel or reschedule your test, or you have missed your test.
Reschedule Policy
You may reschedule your test up to 24 hours before your appointment time without losing your test fee.
If you miss the deadline to reschedule for any reason you are not eligible for a free reschedule or refund of your test fee. Further information can be found in the Missed Test Policy (below).
How can I reschedule my test?
You can reschedule your test through your UCAT Account unless your appointment includes accommodations that cannot be booked online.
IMPORTANT! Once you have selected a new appointment there are several more steps of the process to complete before the reschedule is confirmed. If you do not receive an email confirming your rescheduled test date, you have not completed all the necessary steps.
If you are unable to reschedule through your account call Pearson Customer Services (+44 (0) 208 616 5106) for assistance. You still need to give the appropriate amount of notice, taking into account the helpline opening hours (Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 UK time).
If a bursary was applied to your original booking this will automatically be applied to your rescheduled test.
You cannot use the reschedule process to add access arrangements to an existing booking. Refer to the FAQ section below.
Appointments cannot be rescheduled by submitting a Help Request or email.
Rescheduling in the final week of testing
If you choose a late test date and then encounter issues which prevent you from attending your test appointment, you may struggle to reschedule your test.
Test appointments are extremely limited in the final week of testing and you may have to travel some distance to a test centre.
If you cannot attend your test during the final week of testing and are unable to reschedule, you are advised to call Pearson Customer Services for assistance.
Cancellation Policy

How can I cancel my test?

Refunds
Refunds are normally completed within 10 working days but this is dependent on your card issuer.
Tests paid for with a UCAT Bursary
If you successfully cancel a test paid for with a UCAT Bursary, your bursary will be automatically reapplied if you choose to rebook in the same test year.
Missed Test (No-Show) Policy
You will not be eligible for a refund or a free reschedule if you miss your test appointment, or the deadline to cancel or reschedule your test.
This policy applies regardless of the reason and includes:
- Illness, family emergency, accident, arrest, transport problems and security alert as well as forgetfulness and lateness.
- Arriving without photo identification or not presenting permitted ID.
- IT or technical issues.
- Failure to follow the correct steps to reschedule or cancel a test.
How can I book another test appointment?
If you wish to to book another appointment you will be charged the test fee again.
If you miss a test paid for by a bursary you will not be issued another bursary to cover this cost.
You cannot book again until the status of your missed appointment changes to a ‘no-show’ state (usually within 24 hours).

Rescheduling and Cancelling FAQs
How can I add access arrangements to an existing booking?
It is not possible to amend an existing booking to add extra test time, rest breaks or accommodations.
Any existing booking must be cancelled before access arrangements can be applied for or put in place. The usual Cancellation Policy applies.
The date, time and location of the new appointment will depend on availability.
For example, if you book a standard test and then have an access arrangements application approved to sit the UCAT with 25% extra time, you must first cancel your existing appointment before you can book a test with 25% extra time.
If you successfully cancel a test paid for with a UCAT Bursary, your bursary will be automatically reapplied if you choose to rebook in the same test year.
