We have developed our official preparation workshop plan to provide a structure for teachers and advisers to run their own UCAT Preparation Workshops. We do not endorse any UCAT workshops provided for commercial gain.

When should I start talking to my students about the UCAT?

Students applying for Medicine or Dentistry for 2027 entry will need to sit the UCAT in the 2026 test cycle.

See key test cycle dates

Start informing your students about the UCAT around April, so they have plenty of time to prepare for and sit the UCAT before the 15 October UCAS application deadline.

The most up to date information about the UCAT is published on our website ahead of each test cycle. This is the best place for candidates to find out everything they need to know about the test.
