About the UCAT
The UCAT (formerly UKCAT) was established in 2006 to help universities achieve greater fairness in selection. Around 37,000 candidates sit the test each year as part of their application to courses in medicine and dentistry.
The University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) is a computer-based admissions test, used by a consortium of UK Universities and non-UK associate member universities to help select applicants for their medical and dental degree programmes.
