UCAT Test Timings
We offer the following versions of the UCAT:
UCAT (120 minutes)
The UCAT is the standard test. Each subtest is preceded by a separate 1 minute instruction section.

The following test versions have the same test time as the UCAT:
- The UCATSA (up to 140 minutes) is for candidates eligible for rest breaks and includes an additional 20 minutes for pause-the-clock breaks.
- The OnVUE UCAT (120 minutes) is the standard online proctored test.
- The OnVUE UCATSA (up to 140 minutes) is the online proctored test for candidates eligible for rest breaks and includes separate 5 minute instruction sections before each subtest.
UCATSEN (150 minutes)
The UCATSEN is for candidates eligible for 25% extra test time. Each subtest is preceded by a separate 1 minute 15 second instruction section.

The following test versions have the same test time as the UCATSEN:
- The UCATSENSA (up to 175 minutes) is for candidates eligible for 25% extra test time who also need rest breaks and includes an additional 25 minutes available for pause-the-clock breaks.
- The OnVUE UCATSEN (150 minutes) is the online proctored test for candidates eligible for 25% extra test time.
- The OnVUE UCATSENSA (up to 175 minutes) is the online proctored test for candidates eligible for 25% extra test time who also need rest breaks and includes separate 6 minute 15 second instruction sections before each subtest.
UCATSEN50 (180 minutes)
The UCATSEN50 is for candidates eligible for 50% extra test time. Each subtest is preceded by a separate 1 minute 30 second instruction section.

- The UCATSEN50SA (up to 210 minutes) is for candidates eligible for 50% extra test time who also need rest breaks and includes an additional 30 minutes available for pause-the-clock breaks.
- The OnVUE UCATSEN50 is the online proctored test for candidates eligible for 50% extra test time and has the same timings as the UCATSEN50.
Approval to sit an extended test
An application for extra test time and/or rest breaks must be approved by the UCAT Office before an extended test may be booked. Please refer to the information on Access Arrangements.
