Bursary Application
Complete the application form below to apply for a UCAT Bursary. You will need:
- Your candidate ID (in the format UKCAT + 6 digits)
- Correct supporting evidence.

Please ensure you have checked your evidence meets the Bursary Scheme Criteria before making an application.
You only need to supply one piece of evidence from one of the bursary criteria you meet.
- We accept scans or clear photographs of evidence (file formats: PDF, JPEG and PNG).
- Please PDF word documents before uploading.
Only one application can be submitted. If you need to provide more evidence, please email the UCAT Office directly.

Application deadline: 27 September 2024 at 16.00 (BST)
Applications and evidence outside these dates are not accepted.
Please type your candidate ID into the form - do not use AutoFill or copy/paste.
Testing is taking place on the application form - please do not use. Any applications received before 14 May 2024 will be deleted.

Identify the basis of your bursary entitlement
I receive Free School Meals.
Upload a recent letter (dated 2023 or 2024) from your school/college confirming you receive free school meals (Local Authority funded only).
I receive a 16 to 19 Bursary or EMA or Learner Support (FE 19+).
Upload your award letter or communication for academic year 2023/24 or 2024/25. We MUST be able to see the name and date of the award. Evidence that relates to scholarships/bursaries at independent / fee-paying schools is NOT accepted.
I receive an undergraduate student finance maintenance award (full rate)
Upload ALL PAGES of your undergraduate Student Finance or SAAS award letter for academic year 2023/24 or 2024/25. Check what qualifies as a full-rate maintenance award BEFORE you apply.
I or my parent/guardian receive Universal Credit.
Upload the first page of your Universal Credit statement, dated within the last 3 months. We MUST be able to see the name and address of the claimant, the date, and the award amount.
I or my parent/guardian receive Working or Child Tax Credit.
Upload the first page of the Tax Credits award letter (financial year 2023/24 or 2024/25). We MUST be able to see the name and address of the claimant and the date of the letter.
I or my parent/guardian receive Income Support, Job Seeker's Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance.
Upload ALL PAGES of your award letter from the UK Jobcentre Plus, dated 2024.
I or my parent/guardian receive Asylum Support.
Upload the official award letter, dated in the last 12 months.

Terms and Conditions
Your personal data and evidence submitted in this application will be used for the administration of the UCAT bursary scheme. Where evidence includes the data of any third party, you confirm you have obtained necessary consent. Your data will be retained for the duration of the relevant admissions cycle (usually September the following year).
If you redeem a bursary voucher, this is flagged to your chosen universities at results delivery. This will not disadvantage your application and they may use this information to help identify candidates from backgrounds under-represented at University.
A voucher will be sent to the email address provided. It is valid for one sitting of the UCAT in a UK test centre. If you do not provide correct evidence by the deadline you will have to pay the full test fee to sit the UCAT. You will not be entitled to receive a second bursary if you miss your test for any reason.
UCAT reserves the right to request repayment of the full test fee from any candidate who fails to attend a test paid for by bursary voucher.
