When should I talk to my students about the UCAT?

Students need to sit the test over the summer period before the UCAS application deadline of 15 October.

We recommend schools and colleges inform students who may be considering applying to Medicine or Dentistry, well before the end of Year 12 (UK) or S5 (Scotland) so that they have sufficient time to prepare for and sit the UCAT before returning to school in September and completing their UCAS application.

What materials are available to help my students prepare?

Schools and colleges can use our UCAT 2024 Presentation to give their students an overview of the UCAT. This can be downloaded as a PowerPoint slideshow for you to deliver, or available as video with voiceover.

A poster is provided below to print off and display in your libraries or sixth form common areas, as appropriate.
